Day 2- EPCOT!

Sunday morning we woke up to a rainy day in Orlando, but that didn't get our spirits down at all! Nope, it was Epcot day!

Thanks to the sweet people we rented the condo from, I found out that you can make reservations at the restaurants inside the Disney theme parks ahead of time! (I probably should have known this, but I didn't.) So, I made lunch reservations at restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. I was very excited!

On our way to Epcot

When we got to Epcot, the first thing we did was to ride the Epcot ball ride. Of course, we had to take a picture:

Next, we had lunch at Marrakesh. We were treated to a awkward belly-dance show that I honestly didn't watch much of because girlfriend was not wearing much, if you know what I mean! The food was great! I tried the shish kabobs, and Brian got the lamb with couscous.

We did some sight seeing in England and France:

England

France (notice the Eiffel Tower in the background)

Then, we tried to ride some rides. Right as we got to the front of the line to ride Test Track, they shut the ride down. We waited for a while, but no luck on that one.

Waiting to ride Test Track

We hopped over to Mission: Space, and as we were waiting in line, that ride shut down too! We gave up on rides, went back to the condo, and took a much-needed nap (we were still exhausted from our drive the day before)!

After our good nap, we were ready for some more! So back to Epcot we went.

We actually got to ride Test Track that night and also enjoy some yummy dessert from Norway:

School bread (to die for!)

To finish off the night, we watched the Illuminations show over the lake! Disney has the absolute best firework shows!

Sunday was the only day it rained all week. We were blessed with gorgeous weather every day after that!

More to come about our amazing trip! Day 3 was The Magic Kingdom (favorite park ever!!!)

Orlando Trip- Day One

Did you know that it takes 13 hours to get to Orlando, FL from our city in TN?
Yes, THIRTEEN HOURS!

So, Brian and I packed up and headed on our way at 4 in the morning last Saturday, March 10. I hadn't seen that early in a long, long time. As you can imagine, there was practically no one out that early, so we felt like we ruled the road!

It was nice to see the sunrise with my sweetie, and we had a great view!

It was also pretty foggy out. You could see smoke rising from any river or lake we passed.

We had a great time listening and singing to music! Our musical taste ranged from Aerosmith to The Black Keys and everything in between!

During the trip, we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast and Zaxby's for lunch. After that, we trucked it all the way to Florida!

When we got to Florida, we were greeted with a gorgeous rainbow:

We were so excited when we finally got to our condo at 6:30 p.m. Orlando time. Brian said it was nice getting there while it was still daylight. It made it seem like it wasn't so long of a drive.

When we got to our condo we unpacked, settled in, and then went to dinner at Carrabba's. Our condo was in such a perfect location, we could have walked to the restaurant! You could tell we were pretty beat by our faces:

The meal was just what we needed after such a long day! Afterwards, we went to the condo and crashed. We needed some good sleep to be ready for Epcot the next day! :o)

Lots more stories and pictures to come about our vacation!

Happy Monday! I'm off to work!

My White Lie

So, remember when I said I was on a week-long stay-cation? That was true. However, what I couldn't tell you at the time was that I was on a 2 week long STAY-CATION/VACATION!

Seriously? YES!!!

Brian didn't want me publicizing the fact that we were going to the Happiest Place on Earth for a whole week after my week at home. So sorry about the little fib, but I am happy to be back to share my wonderful time with you!

If you hate hearing about Disney World and what I like to call "Harry Potter World" (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter), then read no more. There will be lots of posts coming up that will seriously annoy you :o)

First things first, this picture makes me so happy:

Magic Kingdom + perfect weather = bliss!

Sporadically for the next week or so I will be posting about our trip. I took lots of pictures, so I will have to post my favorites in separate posts.

I look forward to sharing my time with you and catching up on all I've missed in the blog world! I hope everyone's had a lovely weekend!

Hey ya'll! So sorry I've been MIA for the past few days. I have been very busy, and I can't wait to share what has been going on! I promise I will be posting much more often once the weekend comes. I have some great posts lined up!

Today, I'm linking up with Ashlee @ And They Lived Happily Ever After. . . for the Hubs in the Hot Seat Linkup! This morning, I asked Brian these questions, and here are his answers:

1) If I had to pick one food to live on for a month, what would it be?
-Folk's Folly Medallions (that's a really nice steakhouse where we live, and the medallions are small pieces of steak in a Maker's Mark sauce- yum!)

2) What would you choose for yourself?
-chicken, rice, and gravy

3) What is your favorite childhood memory?
-Going to the beach with family for basketball tournaments

4) What is your favorite physical feature of mine?
-Your eyes (keeping it PG)

5) What is your favorite personality trait of mine?
-Your funniness/goofiness

6) If you had to pick a cartoon character that reminded you of me, which one would it be?
-Tinker Bell (pretty with attitude)

7) What movie has made you laugh like no other?
-Tommy Boy

8) What is your favorite quote/scene from that movie?
-When Tommy and his dad are dressed up for the wedding and ask how they look. David Spade says, "Chubby"

9) Describe me in one word.
-Motivated

Aww, this was so fun! I can't wait to hear everyone else's answers! Have a happy Tuesday!

High Five for Friday!

Is it really Friday already? My week has flown by! Linking up again for High Five for Friday!

Photobucket

Here are the top 5 things about my week:

1. I purchased my first pair of Tom's, and I must say they are super cute! I went to 3 different stores around town before I was able to find the crochets. So adorable for Spring.

{via}

2. I went to the gym 3 times this week, and it feels so good! That is 3 more times than I've been in the last 6 months. I'm being serious. Yikes!

{via}

3. Brian and I finally did our taxes last night. Why is this in my top 5, you ask? Well, I get really inexplicably nervous about filing taxes. I always think the IRS is coming for us because I'm paranoid that I misplaced a tax form. It's always a huge relief when it's done. I also love getting to see the
[cha-ching!] refund at the end.

4. I got to see some of my favorite pharmacy girls on Sunday. We met up, vegged out on pizza and cookies, and watched Breaking Dawn (yes, again- I know I watched it last weekend too). I hadn't seen several of the girls in months, so it was a great catch-up time. Sadly, I took no pictures, but here are two of the girls from my graduation party in May:

Mandy, Me, Maggie

5. No work this week due to my stay-cation. Can I get an amen?! (I really love my job and I am so blessed in my career, but it is nice to get away for a little while). I promise this is the last time I will mention it ;o)

Have a lovely weekend, everybody!

What I'm loving Wednesday!

So I realize this is a very late WILW post, but better late than never, right? I have been enjoying my vacation at home so much, I haven't spent a lot of time on the computer today. Linking up again with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm loving the little spring shopping spree I had yesterday! I got lots of cute finds! (Please don't judge my fitting room self-portraits. I do this all the time when I'm shopping by myself. It gives me a good second opinion. Haha!) Can you tell I'm liking stripes right now?

Shirt: Loft; Boyfriend jeans: Loft
Shirt:Loft; Boyfriend jeans: Loft
Dress and belt: Francesca's
Dress: Francesca's (Will look cute belted)
Lace top: Francesca's
Floral dress: Wish
I'm loving my absolute favorite body lotion: Soap and Glory's The Daily Smooth. Smells divine!

I'm loving this new lipgloss. I went into Sephora and asked the associate what is the most hydrating lipgloss they carry. They directed me to the Laura Mercier section of lip glacés. My favorite color of lipgloss is Venetian by Mac, but it dries out my lips. So, I found the closest matching color: Rose. Very pretty and oh so moisturizing!

I'm loving the Creamy Tomato Basil Soup from Cost-co! Seriously, you should try it!

I'm loving the beautiful weather we have been having in Tennessee lately!

I'm loving that I had my fave Mexican yesterday! Chicken tacos at Deli Mexicana! YUM!

I'm loving my new cut and color I got today. I LOVE getting my hair did!

I'm loving the giveaway at Making Memories of Us. I am a March sponsor, and I'm giving away a $15 Sephora gift card. That's only one of the amazing things you'll get if you win the group giveaway! Hurry, it ends March 9!

Beware of the Shopping Cart

The Culprit:

Tonight, as I was hurriedly grocery shopping, I experienced something I have never once experienced in my 26 years. My grocery cart shocked me. I'm talking electrical shock, people! It happened at least 10 times while I was shopping, and once it hurt enough for me to yelp. A friendly employee saw my horrified expression and asked if I was okay. LOL! I know you are probably asking yourself why I just didn't get myself another cart. Well, I only had a few items to buy and didn't feel like going all the way to the front to get another one.

But back to the matter at hand- I did not know that this was even possible! I decided to ask the cashier about it as I was checking out. She assured me that it happens all the time. For real???

So ladies, next time you are out shopping, be advised that somewhere lurking is a shopping cart that is bent on causing you pain. My advice to you: choose carefully.

Stay-cation!

If you didn't read about it on my last Fill in the Blank Friday post, I am currently on a stay-cation! I am enjoying myself at home for the whole week!

I'm planning (and already enjoying) some relaxation:

I'm also planning on hitting up the gym (which I've already done once this week!)

Source: google.com via France on Pinterest

I definitely need to work some shopping in there too:

Oh, and there are those little things called chores. I guess I'll fit some of those in too :o) Hope everyone's having a wonderful Tuesday!

I've Been Tagged!

Lori at Bleak 2 Unique tagged me in a fun question and answers game! Check out her very creative and fun blog here. These are my answers to her questions:

1. On a "free" day where you can do whatever you want (pretend this is possible), what would you do?
-I would go get a manicure/pedicure and hot stone massage after spending all day on the slopes of Vail, Colorado snow skiing! That place is magical!

2.  Home Depot or Lowe's?....yes, there is a difference.
-I prefer Lowe's because Lowe's is blue and Home Depot is orange. Yep, I base which one I like better on their color palette.

3.  What silly thing are you afraid of?...I scream at spiders :0
-I'm afraid of noises I hear at night. It's mostly the house "settling", but I always think it's something more.

4.  Do you own, or have you made anything "Chevron", if so, what?
-No, I don't own anything chevron patterned. I think chevron is very cute, though!

5.  Does your husband or significant other, support your blogging...how?
-He does for the most part. He plays along when I want to take lots of pictures. He sometimes gets annoyed if I am on my computer too much, though.

6.  Have you taken the Myers Briggs test? If so, what are you? I'm an INFP (Try it if you haven't... very interesting)
-I haven't taken it, but I've heard it's a personality test. I already know I'm a Type A personality. Pretty much every Pharmacist is in one way or another.

7.  Tell us about one of your quirky habits...come on everyone has one!
-I use way more napkins/paper towels than are actually needed. I can't handle it if my hands feel dirty/sticky/greasy when eating food!

8.  If you could choose any career, what would it be? Is it the one you have?
-I have wanted to be a Pharmacist since high school. Once I decided that is what I wanted to be, I set out on a path to make it happen.

9.  Favorite TV show
-I have too many tv shows right now, and I can't choose just one. Revenge, The Lying Game, and Vampire Diaries are tied for favorite!

1o.  Do you do "Craigslist", if so, what was your favorite find?
-I like to look at the pets on Craigslist because I want another pet, but Brian won't let me have one. So basically I look at them just to torture myself :o)

11.  Does it bother you that there are 11 questions, instead of 10? (can we say OCD!)
-A little

Great questions, Lori! Thanks for tagging me! Since I just tagged lots of lovely ladies in my Sunshine Award post, I will hold off on tagging anymore this time. If you would like to answer Lori's questions, though, I'd love to hear your answers! If you feel like playing along, feel free to comment with a link to your blog post!

I hope everyone had a lovely Monday!
